This letter is my personal recommendation for Jeanette Goldizen. She has been my doula twice within the past 2 1/2 years. Jeanette is very knowledgeable in all aspects of child birth and also our child birth class instructor. Jeanette was able to answer all of my questions regarding labor, delivery and postpartum. She made me feel very comfortable which allowed me to ask any question at any time.
During the labor and delivery Jeanette was very attentive and helpful. She aided my husband in making sure I was well taken care of and kept us at ease about the progression of my labor. When I had questions she answered them clearly giving me all of my options and not trying to persuade me at all. She was respectful of my views and desires regarding the birth plan she helped me to create. At difficult moments during contractions Jeanette calmed me down and helped me remain relaxed and focused on my breathing. During the labor and delivery Jeanette documented the events and gave us a child birth story she created. This provided us with a record of events and lasting memory of this special day to show our daughters in the future.
In my opinion, Jeanette Goldizen was an excellent doula and surpassed my expectation. I would personally recommend her to anyone seeking the services of a doula or child birth educator. In fact, if we decide to have a third child I am certain that we will request her services again. Jeanette was not only a skilled doula, but she is a pleasure to be around and we really enjoyed her company. After being present for the birth of our daughters we truly feel that she is actually a part of our family now and not just a passerby.
